2007 Jetta jack wanted - Sydney North West

    Hi all,

I managed to have the jack slip from under my car on the weekend, and it bent the threaded rod so the jack is useless. Does anyone have one (I guess they are fairly common across models)?

One leg jack. They are a terrible design compared to a scissor jack, but that's what comes with them.

    Thanks

i got one but need to find it lol

I recommend using a small trolley Jack....$30 or so and solid and versatile for other uses BUT SAFE ..use them on my Merc & Kombis and any work...never failed. (saves Postage) too...you may already have one ..

Id di that with my Polo one but managed to straighten it in a vise by using a block of wood against the threaded bit and got it straight again

    Thanks all.

I do have two trolley jacks, but they don't really fit under the car, it is too low. I had to use one to retrieve the old jack, then had to pull it out hard. Lucky I have already destroyed the front lip on the car, or the trolley wouldn't have come out at all.

I managed to get one from a wrecker in the end (A Twins wrecker at Girraween, good place) for $30, so I am now more confident to drive around knowing I can change a tyre if I need to.
