Sure you can do it in steps.
Get the new valves installed as it won't work without them.
Install the sensor and wiring harness, then do your coding and adaptations and Robert's your Father's brother.

It might seem a bit overwhelming before you start but take your time and you'll realise it's not as hard as it first seems and you just need to carefully follow the coding/adaptation instructions.

If you get stuck just come back here it's not something which will keep you off the road so you can take your time.

when i retrofitted the direct TPMS to my Superb, i did the wiring and fitting of the TPMS module first, then i had the tyre pressure sensors installed into the tyres, then i did the necessary coding to activate it all.

    i followed the XaGiCO guide.
    i've got a full write-up here.

Awesome, thanks! I've added your guide to my list - this will help.
Going to hit up a family friend who is a (non-VW) mechanic, currently working part-time at a tire shop - see if he can 'help' me with it (for some extra cash of course).

BTW - the sensors and module should be genuine (both 'Huf' brand), but from separate donor cars. I assume that the sensors will still "come pre-paired to the module"? As they would if I was replacing original sensors with OEM parts.

i got my TPMS kit (module + 4 sensors) from AliExpress.
they work perfectly and haven't had any issues whatsoever. been 2.5 yrs now since i retrofitted this.

the sensors were already paired with the module, and the module was already parameterised.

hence once everything is in place, all u need to do is enable/active it by coding the various modules.

    Hey Darkshadow,

Can you link the Aliexpress kit? Did a search and so many different models and makes?

Would like to do it on my Alltrack Passat.
