    Reverse brake-slamming sensitivity

Is there a way to tell the automatic brake-slammer in reverse to calm down a little?

I'd love to lower my Arteon, but already have to stop several times every time I back out of the driveway to give the beepy sensors time to realise I'm not trying to reverse them into the road.

Even with a red light and solid tone (at the lowest angle), there's still 100mm+ clearance under the lowest part of the bumper...

I'm hoping there's some sort of coding solution available?

Not sure there is a sensitivity setting. Would be controlled by parameter set.
You could disable manoeuvre braking in the ABS, cluster and park assist module but I don't think that is the outcome you're seeking.
Can you temporarily disable via the Infotainment car menu whilst backing out?

Coming from someone who doesn't own an MQB car so this is purely speculation.

Yeah, I think there's a way to disable it completely.. but it would be nice to have in a real situation.

I think you can recalibrate them, though it probably wouldn't change much - unless mine are just out for some reason. Seems to be speed/time related too (ie. predicts that I'm going to "back into" the road in N seconds at the current angle) ...

The programmer in me is just hoping there's a way to code it better or hack with the parameters/signals somehow. Especially when I still have ~100mm clearance when it goes into panic mode.

Just felt the pain today. Rebersed into the garage a couple of times and the emergency brakes activated each time.

Really need to disable it, for me, there is no need for this feature.

Also left tyre skid marks on the concrete driveway. Extremely unnecessary.

Semi-solved - just need to hit the 'A' symbol before backing out of the driveway each time: Forward/Reverse auto emergency braking

Small price to pay to be able to lower the Arteon I guess...
