Nice - congratulations!
I'm guessing the Arteon Shooting Brake will have close to the same space? Pretty much a lower, sportier version of your Alltrack?

I don't think there is much in it, the Passat is more slab sided with a wider opening space, so slightly more practical in that sense.
I'm looking forward to the improved power, but will miss the economy of the diesel.
Loved the Wolfsburg, if it wasn't for the failure of the alternator recently (thankfully covered under warranty), I wouldn't have really been looking. However, that warranty is up in January and the Arteon was being offered at an awesome price...

Congrats! I think I sat in that very car a couple of weeks ago when my Arteon was getting some warranty repairs, it's a lovely thing. Subtle differences & improvements over my MY18. Though I do prefer the hatchback styling, I'm definitely jealous of the shooting brake cargo space! I also had a Passat beforehand. If you often use your Wolfsburg boot you've made the correct upgrade.
I can't recommend an APR Stage 1 tune strongly enough. Didn't void my warranty (even after I stupidly told VW I'd had it done) and just brings the thing to life.

Does the APR tune come with throttle remapping? I think the latest ones do, when I was researching the APR throttle booster.
If not, I highly recommend a throttle controller - cheap, quick and reversible mod that makes a big difference to the laziness of the accelerator pedal. I originally thought it was turbo lag (my first pertrol turbo car).
FWIW - we nearly bought a 2018 Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg, nice car and test drove one for a couple of days while my R36 was in the workshop - coincidentally, I was also considering an Arteon at the time. We ended up hanging on to our 2008 Passats (R36 and 125TDI) for a few more years and only just replaced them about a year ago... I ended up buying that 2018 Arteon I was keen on, my wife still wanted an Alltrack Wolfsburg, but went for a new fully-loaded 140TDI Tiguan Allspace, which is basically just a tall Alltrack. Both cars (including Arteon mods) still worked out cheaper than the Toureg we also test drove and (briefly) considered!

Thanks guys. Picked it up this arvo, not had much time to play with it yet as I also had a live plant delivery for my new aqua scape aquarium (another hobby!).
Really like it so far, took it for a short drive in the dark earlier to check out the IQ Lights and pretty impressed with those (other than I think it could switch to full beam a little quicker).
I like the subtle upgrades compared to the Wolfie on the tech perspective and looking forward to spending some more time in it over the next week or so.
Glad I chose the Shooting Brake, always liked a good looking wagon and the Arteon definitely fits the bill 🙂
