Closing the boot from the inside

Ok - so I'm posting this as a whole new thread because I only just worked out how to do this.

In the Arteon manual - it says that you can close the tailgate from inside the cabin. However, I've owned the car for 7 months, and this whole time I've been able to open the tailgate using the button on the drivers side door, but I haven't been able to close it.

Well - I just figured out how to. With the button on the drivers side door - if you just pull it up - it will open the tailgate. I always thought that once it's open, if you pulled it up again - it would then initiate a close sequence, but it never worked. I figured maybe the Australian delivered models didn't come with the function (even though it says it in the manual).

However - just today, I worked out how to close the tailgate using the same button. You need to pull the button up, and HOLD it up. After about 2 seconds it will then start to close. The button must be held up the whole time until the tailgate is properly closed and locked. If you let go at any point, the tailgate will stop wherever it is.

So...after 7 months of ownership - I just figured this out. Hopefully it'll help some other owners out.
