2023 Polo GTI AE Tune ecu

Hi all, I am just wondering if anyone has found any tunes for the 2023 2.0L T polo GTI AE. I am having trouble finding tunes for this car as the engine is the same base model as the Golf GTI I have found one on GO APR but i believe it will not work on my car APR ECU-20T-EA888-4-LK2 APR ECU Upgrade - 2.0T EA888 Gen 4 (MQB EVO) (MK8 GTI/A3/Formentor/Leon/Octavia) If someone could please provide me with links to tunes for my car or places which do OFFER tunes for the car it would be greatly appreciated. JUST TO CONFIRM I ONLY WANT A STAGE 1 (ECU/DIGITAL ONLY) NO PHYSICAL MODS

In Melbourne go and see the guys at Underground Performance. Arguably the best and most knowledgeable VW tuners in Victoria.

If you want an off the shelf tune (like APR) then perhaps try a Racingline dealer of which there will be several in Melbourne. Racingline can tune the current model Golf GTI and R so they can possibly also tune the Polo: How do I find a RacingLine dealer? | RacingLine Dealers

APR only offer tunes for cars that are available in USA (generally speaking) so if your car is not available there, then its likely they will not offer a tune for it.

AW/AE Polo GTI 2.0TSI runs the EA-888-3B engine. I would suggest you find a Racingline dealer.

Looks like Racingline can tune it: RACINGLINE OEM+ PERFORMANCE ECU SOFTWARE - 2.0TSI EA888 GEN 3B 'MAF' - Harding Performance

Not sure how keen you are to get it, but all the tuning companies run 10-15% off deals several times a year.

Note that Golf GTI 7/7.5/8 in Australia runs the EA888-3 engine, it is not the same as the Polo 2.0TSI. Gen 4 (EA888-4) is only found in the R models (Golf 8 R/T-Roc R/Tiguan R) in Australia.

Since APR stopped testing and confirming tunes for Australian delivered cars, they would be the last choice on my list (which is quite long btw).

So I have family which has been going to PAW performance which has tunned my fathers RS3 several times as well as Golf GTI's from other members. Would PAW performance be a good choice for the Polo GTI? Otherwise if there are any people who can for sure recommend them then I'll give them a go.

I haven't quite heard much about the RacingLine tune and am keen to try how ever $1400 seems quite steep even if there were to be a 10-15% discount. Unfortunately this might be my only option unless anyone else has any straight forwards answers

Depends which tuning company they use.

Ask them if they have the software for a EA888-3B engine and if they have done a new AW/AE Polo GTI before.

A DSG/TCU tune would be something I would look at as well if I were you. It makes more a difference to the way the car drives than an ECU tune ...

Racingline is the company VW themselves use when they want something tuned .... in fact, Racingline was created by VW themselves to run the factory 'works' motorsport programmes in the UK.

So here's the deal, currently I am on my P plates and don't want something to obvious. From my understanding there is no way to tell I have a tune (If i were to get pulled over) unless They do a system scan. I don't know much about these DSG/TCU tunes so if you could provide me with some more information on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Also is the AW and AE Polo GTI the same? I am having trouble trying to understand this. For example if I find a Polo GTI AW tune would that work on my vehichle?
