Both ECU and TCU tunes will be invisible to the people pulling you over. Both, however, are detectable by VW, so it will put your factory warranty at risk. For some people this a risk they are willing to take ...
AW/AE Polo's are mechanically identical. The AE Polo is just a mildly facelifted AW Polo. A tune for an AW Polo should* work on an AE, however, sometimes the firmware versions of the control units that are modified by a tune changes and a newer version may not accept the tune. The tuner will find this out when they attempt a tune and will be able to tell you they were unsuccessful (unless they are super dodgy) in uploading the tune.
Have a read here about TCU/DSG tunes Racingline OEM+ TCU/DSG Software DQ250 / DQ381- MQB platform - Harding Performance, lots of good info there. Note this particular tune may not be applicable to your car, so check with the tuners first.

Just one more quick question if someone could answer for me. Is there any way to make the car sound much louder without deleting anything or adding any physical mods, I guess I am asking is there a P plate legal way of making my car sound better? I understand that the tune MAY make the car sound better/louder but in the mean time is there anything that I can do?
Thanks,

I can confirm the Racingline ECU + TCU tunes both worked on my 2022 Polo GTI AE… Power difference is noticeable and removes some of the diesel like driving characteristics of this car stock (top end used to feel really stagnant past 5k rpms)
