Believe me, we have some quick cars in the stable - the Tiguan is totally different - and it has so much grip its astounding. hope this link works - this is more DSG shifting testing on 98 ron (hub dyno) friday afternoon style. Little more work to do on 1 - 2 ./ 2-3 shift & then we are sorted.

Be interested in how it is "totally different" from your other cars. Is this just a seating position thing or how it drives/handles?

Obviously there's room for quite a lot bigger wheels/tyres though also a bit more weight in the Tig.

Also once it's finished I'd be interested in getting a full "spec" on the build.

I was about to ask you about the Tig to see how it's holding up. Is the DSG behaving itself?

All going well - it's the shifting pattern we have been working on to maximise the power curve. Its 1 - 2 & 2 - 3 shift that is taking us the longest, and thats only at full throttle.

I noticed that even with stage one that 1-2 can be rather laggy. I'm guessing that might be something to do with the Torque limit and not having a DSG tune.

You actually have more power & torque from 1500 upwards (and no loss below that), so its more of getting a handle on how the DSG works. Try using manual mode and you will find the car is WAY more responsive as you are in the closer gear. A DSG tune will help out a lot.

Not a lot of news in the last 3 months on the stage 3 Tig...

Have things gone on the back burner while you develop hardware for the Mk7 Golfs?
