Thread: Stage 3+ Tiguan build

  1. #21

Clay, it's awesome - you are welcome to take it for a spin when you get time.

Wife thinks it's too firm - it is like a Go Kart - mind you, dropping from 65 series tyres to 30 series doesn't help.

MGV, yes, the regular Golf Brake kit works fine, checked all the master cylinder sizing & it works a treat!

    Hey Guy,

if the VWR Golf VI Brake kit fits the Tiguan, would that mean that the super-pro controll arms would fit as well?

Avdo, we are pretty certain, that part comes later this week & going to try some anti roll bar sizing too.

I actually put my 10" GT3 rim under the back with a 315 on it - it fitted fine. Wrong stud pattern unfortunately otherwise they might still be on there!

I was thinking you could just get the Cayman wheels on there but you would need some adaptor to get it to fit.
Still interesting to see just how wide you can get, 315 would be freakishly wide and grippy!

Would be interesting to see how it'd go with that much tyre (315+)
I'd hate to see the aqua planing

    Hi Guy,
Who makes the wheel flares and where did you source them from,
Definitely a lot better looking than the overly priced genuine ones.

On another note will APR be looking at distributing / manufacturing some of the parts you are using or is this more of a personal build

    Cheers

Hi Pickles, These are genuine / oem versions - there are two styles.

I imported them from a friend in Germany - they cost me $680 landed (would have been cheaper a few months a go but we lost a lot of ground against the EURO).

I have a spare set available for cars without the side park assist if anyone wants a set (exactly as pictured)
