That's pretty good for "at the wheel" readings.
Approx 10% drivetrain loss for FWD so 15-20% for AWD?

I think the general ruling is 15% for FWD, 20% RWD then 25% plus for AWD (all specific vehicle dependent).

You getting the itch seeing Guys handwork Clay??

Pretty much all the Volkswagens make more than stated, since 2010 they have upped the power on most and kept the numbers down.

Ours is rated at 132kw crank - I'll have to see if I have a 155 standard dyno somewhere - otherwise a GTI 155. Mind you, I don't know if the DQ500 has more drag or less!

If I can overlay a few standard graphs, that gives a good indication of where it sits. Needless to say the thing is a bullet already, and thats just at stage 1 level.

Tomorrow is front brakes & looking into the exhaust......

    Oh, new DSG software too!

OK - been out driving after today's work.

    Brakes on & stops well.

Wheel aligned, 3.2 neg camber front, 2.5 rear - goes around corners like its on rails. With the extra rubber on board, it actually has less push than the Golf R's.

Downpipe done. We modified an off the shelf APR RSC downpipe to fit - works well, dyno's coming Monday.

I'm actually over the moon with the handling & this thing has serious potential as a stealthy real hot hatch - it was all there in theory & it looks like it will come out better than we first imagined.

OK - here is some info on the chassis balance - the corner weights compared to a well set up Golf R (probably lighter than stock - no rear seats, but half cage in rear. The GTI is stock weights and not corner balanced (doesnt have adjustable coilovers)

No driver in any of the cars. Didn't take too much note of fuel load.

After driving it around last night, it will be fast on a circuit. The handling & turn in is awesome.

Really happy to see you enjoying this Guy.
I know from mine that it is a blast and everyone who gets to go passenger is really surprised at how well it handles even on stock suspension and brakes so yours must be even more enjoyable.

Pretty good weight balance but it could do with some weight reduction up front haha.

That VW Racing brake setup has me interested... Had a quick look on their website, but nothing listed for Tiguan... Are these the same as for MkVI Golf??

I haven't done any modifying for ages! This thread has me keen...
