Stage 1 + Golf R results - software testing V 3.31 AUS

Coming along nicely, this car only has software, High Pressure Fuel pump & VWR intake.

Nice results on our new software (being released shortly).

This car will go to stage 2+ shortly (adding exhaust), & I believe it will be Dyno tested at the next stage.

Exactly the same power (166kw) that mine made when stock on the same brand of dyno (Mainline AWD1000). Good power gains with pump, intake and tune only.

Would be great to see power differences with just dump pipe vs full exhaust differences too.

Thanks Lucas, its nice & warm in the dyno room too. We tested dump pipe with & without catback some years ago, and with a K04 turbo on, there was about 4wkw & 6nm difference (more with full exhaust).

guy could you please post up torque figures as well as that's the real test who need 250 kw if it comes on at 6500 rpm
looking forward to this 3.31 . are the new tune upgrades for existing customers and multiple modes on the R subject to your sales specials at all?

We have actually progressed to AUS version 3.4 now & are close to finalising the calibration.

Torque gains are as impressive as the power gains. Initial rollout for V3.4 will be the stage 2+ file (VWR Intake, pump & exhaust), we have tested this on 4 cars in house & the owners are loving it.

Hi Phil,

Not at this stage - it is on the review list though (along with some of the other K04 factory turbo cars - like the older S3 etc) - hopefully once we have the 60 plus Golf R files sorted, it will be next!
