Does anyone in Brisbane have a TBE fitted that I could hear. I had a TBE on a MKV GTI and the drone was terrible. I read what Guy posted but would like to hear one for myself, such a subjective thing!

    Hi Guy,

Just wondering if you have developed an adaptor so you can mate the new RSC catback to your original divorced downpipe?

    Thx

Mike Weber has one installed on his Golf R 100 metres from us, so we should be able to arrange a test drive for you!

No, but it will be a simple job by a fabricator to enlarge the 3" to factory downpipe adapter to a 3" to 3" adapter. We don't have plans for a production piece at this stage.

    Thx

I had just assumed that you would have fabricated a pipe to mate the old DP with the new RSC catback as a matter of course so that your old customers could upgrade.

If you ever have an adaptor kit let me know. Who knows I may have procrastinated long enough and may still have the factory std cat back installed.

Problem is the cost of a jig to make a fabricated piece. Building set pieces like that (to get them at a reasonable price) we have to budget to sell at least 50+ units (like our old full exhaust) to get them in at $150 incl GST. So at this stage it does not add up.

Anyway, hopefully we will get one in house shortly to carry out the conversion on & document it at the time! Will keep the thread updated.
