    We now have received the individual downpipes & catback components for the Golf R's.

    Excuse my ignorance, but what's the difference between the older more expensive downpipe you did sell and the new one - apart from the reduction in price? At $1495, it seems like a good price.

    Old one was hand built & divorced wastegate, 304 stainless - unfortunately it took 12 hours to make, so labor content was very high (so was the cost). Massive cost saving in labor alone.

    How do they both compare against eachother in the power department?

    Top end power is pretty much identical as we have measured, spool up on the divorced is 400 - 800 rpm quicker depending on temps. Sound is different as well (hard to explain)

    Just wondering can this downpipe fit on s3 sportback?

    Hi Royee, we have not done one yet - we believe it is possible, but an adapter would have to be manufactured to join the two together.

    Thats good to hear, but do you guys have the adapter for it or I need to get it somewhere else?

    At this stage it would be a custom job on an individual basis - so nothing we can supply off the shelf. Talk to your APR dealer & see if they have the fab skills in house to adapt it - that would be a good starting point!
