VW Golf GTI Denver 17” Alloy Wheel by BBS

Professionally refurbished by Wheel Solutions in Richmond VIC a number of years ago, but was never refitted with a tyre and has been stored indoors ever since.

The wheel had been relatively lightly scraped on its outer face, enough to damage the paint, but not the wheel itself. Therefore, the refurbishment involved repainting the normally visible outer surface, but I had the inner drum and spokes repainted as well.

The only parts of the wheel not repainted are the outer rim, where the tyre is mounted and wheel mounting face.

Once fitted with a tyre to a vehicle, it will look like a new wheel.

The wheel is a rare Denver model made by German company BBS, which was only fitted to the early Golf GTI MkV for MY2005. From MY2006 to the end of production of the Golf GTI MkVI, Denver wheels were supplied by Swiss company RONAL, which are noticeable by having rubber valve stems fitted, whereas BBS wheels came with metal valve stems.

BBS and RONAL wheels are completely interchangeable, having very similar appearance, but more importantly exactly the same technical specifications:
