Hello everyone,
I have for sale a Remus axleback exhaust that I bought second hand. The exhaust has done less than 20000kms. Asking $300. (Retail approx. $800 new)
Condition:
-Condition is good for a second hand item in perfect running order, small surface scratches on muffler and pipe. Exhaust tips are only very sparsely marked, would suit fussy owner.
-Surface rust between pipes leading to tips. But it's not bad at all, and I'm pretty sure it's stainless steel and as such shouldn't get any worse.
Fitment:
(REQUIRES CUTTING OF EXHAUST, AFTER CENTRE MUFFLER)
-I ran it on a Mk4 golf and it was fine but it did rattle a bit. Not sure if was incorrect installation, but it is made for a New Beetle so I can't confirm it fits golfs perfectly.
-Will fit either 50mm or 55mm exhaust.
-I did have to modify the rear hanger, so it wont fit a beetle, but an exhaust shop would do A mount for no more than $50 or so.
-For full fitment details, check out the remus website using the model number (955098 0502). I won't take responsibility for incorrect fitment details.
Shipping:
-Shipping interstate is to be organised by the buyer. I'm happy to have it picked up from my place by a courier. Or you can pick it up yourself.
-I have done a picture in paint to demonstrate dimensions.
-When I bought it I had it shipped from Sydney for about $100.
-I'll tell you my full address if you pm me with interest. I'm located in East Brisbane.
-I will cover the shiny bits with cardboard for shipping but no more.
NOTES:
-I repainted it black recently using VHT exhaust paint.
-It's been polished.
-Remus sport mufflers are very quiet, and are designed to increase power without significant noise.
Thanks,
Thomas.
-I will post pictures when I figure out how to do it - actually if you're interested I'll just email them to you.

How do you attach? For images there is just add image URL... Thanks for the help though.
Using Photobucket you can tell it to create links that you can use to embed your pics in forums etc. The option appears when you upload a new pic to their website - then you just paste that link into your posting on this site ... A way to see if it is working is to use the "Go Advanced" button on this site when you post which gives you the option to preview your posting before submitting it - you'll see the images inline if they are working.
Best Wishes.
Bump. First pick is to you guys, but it's going on ebay in a couple of days.
Might be an idea to upload some pics if you can ...
Interested. Would like to see some pics too. Is it loud? I'm looking for a slightly quieter exhaust.
It's not much louder than stock, just a better tone. I'm going to put some pics up tonight I've just been busy lately...
Pics added! Accidentally deleted the shipping dimensions one though so I'll fix that up tomorrow.
Putting on ebay on Tuesday, so get in with offers!
