    Parting: 2002 V6 Passat

I've just bought a 2002 V6 Passat for work and it has a lot of extra stuff that I don't need:

    • Tow bar kit
    • Rear tail lights
    • Rear bumper & trim
    • Rear interior (cream leather)
    • Various other parts
    • Factory climate & heated seat controls

If anyone needs anything that's not listed please drop me a note and I'll see if we need it or not.

From your 1st post it sounds like you're selling off the extras you don't need but then you mention the gearbox.

Are you parting the whole car?

    Sorry for any confusion!

I bought the car to test a few things for a work project, and originally we did need it to roughly resemble a complete car for what we needed to test so not everything was available.

We've now gotten everything we need from it so yes, everything is up for parting.

    So:

•2.8L V6 Engine (I believe it's in good working order, turns over but hasn't been compression tested or otherwise diagnosed)
    •Automatic transmission
•All external panels (passenger's front quarter is fire damaged, others are straight)
    •16" Alloys
    •Full size spare (tyre unused)
    •Toolkit
    •Boot liner
    •Boot lid including badges
    •Front grille including VW badge
•Rear and Front cream leather seats (fronts will need cleaning from some blobs of molten plastic but haven't been burnt themselves)
•Rear passenger's side taillight (driver's side and headlights are broken)
    •Dash cluster
    •Tow bar and wiring harness

And anything else I've forgotten to mention.

What are you looking for on that motor?

Assuming a clean V6 motor still goes for around $900 or so, I'd be happy to part with this one for half that given it'll need some cosmetic cleanup.

Obviously you'd need to remove it yourself on-site (can give you a hand if you need it), and I'm more than happy if you want to take a closer look / compression test etc before making a decision.

Pulled some more parts off the car yesterday:

•Front bumper (bumper in fairly good condition but only centre and one side plastic grille available - the other side was broken)
    •Rear bumper
    •Front grille
•Set of 4 16" alloys - 2 have 205/55/16 tyres with at least 60% life left, 2 have tyres that need replacement
    •Boot with badges
•Door cards (front and rear), cream leather, in reasonable condition but need cleaning
•Set of 4 lock nuts with key
    •Set of plastic nut covers
•Tow-bar with tow ball, chassis bolts and trailer plug
    •Rear seats
    •Toolkit including jack
    •Boot liner / carpet

For all of the above, make an offer if you're interested in anything. Pickup from Canberra or can post the smaller items.

As for the rest of the car - looking for $450 or so for the V6 engine and anything associated that you'd like to remove with it.

Anything else that's still attached to the car (full drivetrain, front interior etc etc) is up for grabs for whatever reasonable quantity of Beer you'd like to offer.

Sorry, both headlights were damaged beyond being useful for much except the bulb holders.
