Don't think it is an OBD function as such but it actually uses the CAN-Bus to get the information. This means items like Boost cannot be displayed.
I am more than happy to be corrected but from what i have read here, that is how it operates.
So with this new obd2 function, will it allow me to scan error codes?
I have a nexus 4 that does not have the mirror link. Anyway around it for phones that don't have it?

oh okay, I thought it would monitor like vagcom can to a point. This is what was stopping me from getting the ans unit instead. Decisions, decisions.
Looking forward to demo video.

Any updates Sandy? Starting to get impatient over here. Its now ten days past the last delayed end date.

Hi Sandy. I am already in on the group buy. I am also about to purchase a 2011 Vw Caddy van with an OEM RCD210 fitted. Will the DNS810 also fit into the same space to replace the RCD210?

I actually don't care that much about mirroring. I just want an in-dash navi with reversing cam and bluetooth. Anything else is a bonus.
I'd take 1) iPod connectivity 2) Bluetooth 3) GPS 4) Radio that works 5) Something that doesn't drain the crap out of my battery overnight :p

No actually the OBD module will use the OBD2 port so it can read fault codes, but I wouldn't rely on that. It will not be as sophisticated as VCDS and be closer to the generic OBD2 scanners, which can find generic codes but not many of the VW-specific ones. It will be able to do 0-100 and similar calculations though.
Again I just have to clarify that this Android mirroring function has nothing to do at all with MirrorLink. It relies on MHL, you just need a MHL-certified phone.
Yes it is available for the Caddy.
I don't have much to say except that it is still not quite ready - trust me I am more impatient than you because I have close to 80 people to worry about here instead of one. I am reluctant to give a specific date now because I keep getting vague promises like "should be ready by the end of the week" and that has been proven false way too many times. I am still constantly pressing them for updates, but the problem is I get fed similar answers when I ask that often. I would wait till Friday, and if we still don't have finished software then I'm gonna start making some threats
I still do believe in the product, but I don't think I will ever organise a group buy for a product from Audiosources again until AFTER it is released...
