Hi Matt
I asked the same Q. DkN said they would be but the prices given in the thread don't include postage (because the units and acc. in this guy nuy will be shipped together). So, it would be the price given plus the postage cost.
Hi DkN,
How easy will it be to add the accessories later? Are they plug-in physical modules or are they software keys? Do you know what is planned for furture functionality for the OBD and Trip Recorder modules?
Ta,
Matt.

Thanks sinclap2.
I think this will certainly influence whether I buy these modules or not as the thought of having to take the dash apart to fit them later doesn't necessarily appeal to me!
Here's a Google'd image of the boot handle camera because I'm lazy The licence plate LEDs are right next to it as you can see in that picture anyway, you get the idea.

AFAIK the acceleration and fuel consumption functions work fine, but I wouldn't expect too much from the DTC functions. It's a basic OBDII module, and will probably work like many other generic OBDII diagnostic tools (i.e. picks up and clears some but not all DTCs on VWs).
Yes, that's correct.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say - the current ANS units have a dedicated RVC power wire (labelled "back conn") that protrudes out of the side of the iPod / USB adapter. All you do is connect the camera's 12V power to this wire, and connect the signal to the reverse in RCA port behind the ANS. Depending on whether your camera unit comes with an LED or boot latch you will have to wire those up, but it doesn't get any more straightforward than this.
It's entirely up to you but unless you have a Golf / Jetta V taking the unit out of your dash is as simple as prying out one piece of trim and undoing 4 screws (or in some cars with key slots, simply inserting the stereo removal keys).

Ok cool haha. Will the system compensate for the fact that it will be slightly off centre? I think it's better value than the badge camera that's 8 times more expensive haha, even if its not as oem. It comes with the lights too, yea?
Now I have to decide if I want the 6.5, 7 or 8 inch version. Have you got any photos of them side by side? Will the buttons have the same functions as the ans series? Which version is the most popular?
Oh also, just had a thought, since its a multitouch screen, I'm assuming its a glossy screen?

DkN,
Please add me to the list.
No unfortunately there's not much you can do to compensate an off-centre camera. You can only notice it if you are using the licence plate LED style camera, but it's not a big difference and I'm sure your judgment of distance would be good enough to compensate for that
By far the most popular units I've sold is the 8" version just because it has an 8" screen, but it comes down to personal taste. Audiosources tells me the overwhelming majority of sales in China is the 7" version, just to make the decision a bit harder for you.
The screen is a bit glossy yes but I have found it to be perfectly usable. A few people here have applied anti-glare screen protectors with supposedly good effect.
