Actually I did find an issue with the Aux that I didn't notice initially. Aux in works but it comes through only on the right side of the car. Ipod connection works but sound only on left side of the car (go figure).
I'll test again tonight.

It's not a real breaker for me, but it's disappointing as it's one of the features that I based my decision to purchase on. I know it's not your fault Sandy, but the reseller of a product should be partly responsible, especially when the customers have no direct relationship with the supplier themselves.
I personally feel sorry for the guys who went in on the early batch and have had to deal with all the nasty surprises, in addition to helping out by finding and documenting bugs. (Something which AS should have been paying people to do) The early batch people at least should be financially compensated for their trouble. With the rest of us having the option to completely back out now that we know this information.
Do you have any documented correspondence with AS regarding the resistive screen claims? Or was it all just verbal?
Will there be a canbus update for the steering wheel control problems. It's really ruining this whole thing. I never touch the radio after install pretty much. Are they at least working on it? I have to pull the fuse every 10 hours or so
Could someone who's got one up and running does those of us still sitting out a massive favour and post a Youtube review, please?
TIA
Ok - moved the GPS further into the dash with better results.
In my 2009 MY10 Jetta there is a metal grill that is on top of the dash which significantly lowers the signal (previously the GPS was right under here). You can actually see the difference in reception by putting the grill back on top so if you have a similar grill in your Jetta - you need to position your GPS either deeper or to the side.
No the memory leak one was different. That one was just a failed program from memory.

Can you please tell me what version of firmware the unit shows to be running now? That monsun.exe error only came up for kwalsh24 as far as I am aware, and he has a definite faulty unit. You may be in the same boat, if your firmware is current. It is not a memory message, it just says the program monsun.exe had a critical error and must be ended.
I understand what you are saying and that's why I am offering compensation.
The situation with software bugs was disclosed beforehand, although I did not experience the CAN-Bus slowdown issue so that wasn't listed, but this has now been fixed in any case. The overseas customers who have the white screen low temperature issue probably has the worst of the surprises, followed by the resistive screen and missing cables (which also has now been resolved as I will be sending out the cables to those that didn't receive it).
My communications with the manager is mostly through a Chinese IM program. I call him when there is an urgent matter or something that he hasn't replied to for a few days.
The issue with all this is that the manager started telling me about the unit long before details were finalised. They were all pre-release information although he has simply said "DNS will have etc" without hint of any doubt. In the case of capacitive screen he forgot to even tell me later that the unit was going to ship with resistive screens - he told me it would be capactive months ago, probably didn't even remember he did that.
Having said that, he is generally receptive to suggestions and does consider my advice. The main issue is that he promises too much too early - not really lying just saying things before they are certain. I do expect to still be able to maintain a good working relationship with him but as I said, I have learned my lesson and in the future will not be acting on anything but already released, concrete unit details.
Regarding the future - I don't believe the DNS will receive capacitive screens at least in the foreseeable future. There are wider issues of WinCE 6.0 multi-touch and capacitive screen driver support, so I think a capacitive screen would have to wait till the next generation of Audiosources units.
