    For those of you disheartened by this group buy and wanting another option, maybe this might be a go.

    Right. Reverse camera installed. Went smother than expected, didn't have to pull half the interior out, was able to snake the cable around the trim piece.

    Wiring was as followed, for the license plate type camera:

    Unit Side:
    Yellow RCA -> Yellow RCA
    BBattery -> Red wire on Yellow RCA cable
    No other wires used.

    Camera Side:
    Yellow RCA -> Yellow RCA
    Red 3.5mm -> Red wire -> Red wire on Yellow RCA
    No other wires used.

    Another bug found as well:

    On iPod playback, using 30pin->Lightning cable, my iPhone doesn't charge. When playing back audio using another source (BT/SD/Radio), iPhone is charged as normal. For some reason it stops charging when you play audio through it. This is using both the 30pin->Lightning adapter and the 0.2m cable. Not sure why. Pretty ****ing annoying actually, considering i've got a big road trip coming up and a charged device is essential.

    Edit: This bug is also present with an iPod connected straight to the 30pin connection. Sigh.

    Thanks for that mate! Should be useful tomorrow when I fit mine as it just showed up!

    Quick question - where did you guys put the GPS antenna? Will it get adequate reception if I fit it below the surface of the dash or am I better off fitting it on top somewhere?

    I pulled out the top AC vents (just 2 bolts, careful you don't let them fall though), and mounted the GPS antenna where there's a hump between the top dash surface and the AC vents. It's pretty snug, so I have no no doubt it'll stay there, and reception is great.

    I have a MK5 so mines a little different but if its ok to put it under the dash I'm sure I'll find somewhere appropriate while I have it all apart. Thanks again!

    Yea, i've done installs in 3 other cars and as long as you find a good enough place that's secure and fairly decent line of sight it should be fine.

    With my actual chinese unit I have background noise. Which cables do you wrap like an 8? All of them together?

    Hmm okay, however this static is coming whether the GPS software launches or not, as I didn't get the software with the radio I've been trying out different versions, some launch some don't, even of they don't launch the initial loading of the software has static, when it does launch there is random static. Ill relocate my GPS antenna once I get the accessory cables that are missing and see if that helps. As right now the antenna wire runs along side with my sub RCA cable, I can't see that causing the random static, if it was constant static yes. Random no, that seems more hardware then wire feedback
