Mind you, my car may have a bigger battery as it is the tdi version

Never had that problem here. I have had in installed for a bit and nothing to speak of on battery drain.

Interesting, that's good to hear, I'll keep am eye on this and will post if I see anything. Wonder if the installer ran the remote turn on for Raymond's amps to a constant 12v feed. I ran Mine to a on at ignition at the fuse panel, as annoying as that will be in the future it will have go do till something is done about a remote turn on line for external amps

Raymondtrudeau...just a thought seeing that you had so many issues with yours. It's always a possibility that you got a dud but seeing that you had camera, battery and some other issues, I am seriously wondering if your installer didn't wire properly (in fact I know for the camera but the battery drain issue....dunno). You mentioned your sub (assume Bazooka tube) didn't work? Again, wondering if the remote turn on was causing a battery drain. If I had more time (and wasn't puking my guts out on Friday) I would have come and helped you. If you are still interested we can try to take a look again.....just seems weird....you had A LOT of issues, not just these common bugs...

I agree, I installed mine to see if I had any issues similar to Raymond's, so far no, just the minimal ones that are mentioned. I'm thinking there's a install fault there as well....

Mind you I didn't install a camera so my install slightly differs...

Thanks. What I mean by the bazoka subwoofer not working is..if I turn the radio on the sub has bass but when I turn up the radio or sd card music the bass does not increase it remains the same level...I asked the installer and he said it is installed properly.. it must be the head unit...
but sure swyner if you have time we could meet and you could have a look..
    Thanks just pm me..

Hmm weird, I don't have that issue with my unit. Mind you I did install a splitter to feed my sub amp 2 feeds and not just the mono feed that the headunit does. That did make a difference I found. However your tube may only rake 1rca in, my amp takes 2 thus why I split the output on the radio. Normally there are 2 feeds out on a radio, this one only has the 1

So far audio/soundwise (minus Bluetooth playback) the unit sounds better than my clarion nx501 I had. The only downside I see is the lack of built in crossover. Wish it had that so my main speakers (that are fed off the radios built in amp) aren't pounding so hard. That would be a nice addition to the EQ

I will PM you. What I will try to do is get the DNS working to the level we are all at with camera working too. As for the bazoka tube, not sure how that gets signal. Is it through RCA? If so, then maybe the sub out RCA (mono) is not receiving volume increase command from the DNS...something to look at after. If all goes well and your unit is not a dud, you should have bluetooth phone working flawlessly, all the time, full camera working, no freezing of the system, all buttons working, etc. You will still have white screen of frozen death (LOL), bluetooth audio / music not loud and not necessarily clear and the minor firmware tweaks we have all suggested.

White screen of frozen death, haha I knew I was forgetting a word when I said the white screen of frozen earlier lol.

My bt connected right away without a password, and connects automatically when I'm in range of the car. I wonder if its a bluetooth firmware/hardware conflict between his phone and the radio, as I know with my old s3 and my nx501 the bt sync sucked. It took 3 attmepts or more to get the music side to sync.

I noticed the mono out for sub and that should not make a difference in the "real world". Sub signal does not need or actually should not be in "stereo" so very strange.

As for the built in cross over.....there is none! LOL. There is a DSP setting in the menu that definitely does something but not clear at all. Q value? What the f is that? Is everyone else having excessive bass go to stock speakers (no external amp attached) and have to turn down the bass to -7? For me to listen to "louder" music, I have volume on FM go up into the 20s and the bass is crazy excessive. If others, like kwalsh24 have this issue, please let us know so we can add to the spreadsheet. The music quality is definitely VERY good coming from this unit (at least for FM and CD so far).

If they can get a working lpf/hpf inplace of or working with their dsp that would really improve things.

Right now I have my sub levels at -6 bass -2 mid 0 treble +2. Its decent at normal levels, but pounds hard at 18+ levels
