So I'm still using the preproduction unit. Does that mean I still get to have mine replaced. As I'm still having Bluetooth issues and the hardware is not even the same as the production unit. What are the chances they will change it again.

Thanks for the update Sandy. I only have the half height MFD the can chip upgrade doesn't really matter to me (unless im mistaken and it will work on mine?), although I am definitely interested in the wireless 2 way android mirroring. Count me in on that if it ever eventuates! Any news on the DAB+ module at all?

Yes, you will get a replacement unit anyway and I advise you to wait until they sort out the CAN-Bus. CAN-Bus hardware is now all sorted, they're busy tuning it atm. New features with the CAN-Bus chip includes multi-line MFD display, using MFD to display and select radio stations (phonebook also being worked on) and silent boot (boots the unit in the background when the car is unlocked).Quote:

Two way android mirroring requires a different module. If you have received the old module already, just return it to me and you'll just have to pay for the difference - I don't have confirmed price yet though it would only be a little more expensive than the old module.
I have new firmware which I am posting up in the OP now. This firmware fixes an issue some people have been having with the unit getting stuck on the VW screen on boot.
My impression from running this latest firmware is that it is pretty much rock solid - I have not had any boot issues, freezing issues or monsun.exe errors since installing it. So let me know if you have any problems with it. Please remember the new firmware update instructions and ALWAYS FLASH MCU FIRST.
I'm working on Sygic implementation at the moment, I think this is the most sensible approach rather than hoping AS fixes the navigation / SD issue that only occurs with iGo. Other than this nav / SD issue, with the latest firmware there are only two issues that I can see:
1. the screen brightness sometimes does not pickup that your headlights are on, and stays on the brightest level.
2. the subwoofer adjustment in EQ appears to do nothing. I am told from a while ago that it does something else funky when you have sub-out connected. I told AS about this but they probably forgot - will chase it up again. This should be just a minor coding error.
If you pick up any other errors please let me know.

OK so I have confirmation that the DNS with the latest CAN-Bus module is now available. As a precautionary measure I am in the process of ordering one unit for myself to test and ensure all is well. Once confirmed I will finally be able to conclude the group buy.
