Yea, had it happen again just then.

I've turned the CANBUS module to empty for the time being, seems to be working fine now. I lose reverse camera tho, but at least it's stable haha.

I've seen the same thing in the folder menu. I think it's just a bit sensitive, that's all.

The other thing id like to see is when you go up a folder it puts you at the top, but I'd rather it put you where you were originally (say you opened a folder halfway down, when you go out it puts you at the top, but it should put you halfway down again).

Just wondering, is there anything specific that you're doing before the CANBUS issue arises? Maybe something in particular that triggers it or is it a completely random occurrence?

Ill add to the SD playback, if you turn the car off, and the SD was in shuffle, turn the car back on and it remains in shuffle mode lol, instead of it going back to defaults.

I also think I've lost sub out volume gain since the resets, will have to double check that my amp is turning on, sounds like it is but in the eq nothing changes when I adjust the sub gain

Nope, seems to be fairly random. My guess is it's on startup, almost like it tries to grab the canbus data stream, for some reason can't grab it and just gives up which causes things to be slow.

Can't decide if the canbus should be 'Off' or on 'empty'.... what have you set it on kwalsh?

I have mine set to off, so far things seem to be okay, minus my sub issue, don't recall the empty being an option haha. My bad. I just turn things to off that I know I don't have installed

Mine unit caught the lag bug tonight.
As long as I can listen to the radio (when it lets me select a channel) I will be happy until they come up with what ever to fix it.

So, finally got mine installed today and went for a couple short drives. used the nav once, which caught on very quickly, even though i mounted the GPS antenna under the mk5 trim on the dash, and all went well, the GF played with the settings as i drove, so ended up with it just the way i wanted, and im happy with it, the rest of the unit, so far, only used FM radio + cd, and made 2 calls with the BT, and all went well, no issues at all, had it parked front to the sun during sunset, so the dash got pretty warm, and no issues with that either, for me, all seems to be going great

Hope i don't get the lag bug, as i like how responsive it is!!

I've noticed when playing music via SD that it takes a very long time to skip forward within a track. Do any of you experience that? My MP3 files are around 150mb...haven't tested with smaller ones. However didn't expect this to be an issue given the unit's specs and they work fine with any old smartphone.

Haha. Funny about that. Driving to work this morning I notices it was very laggy. Did I a restore to default. And everything seems to be working fine again.
150mb for an mp3? Why so big.
