Installed mine tonight. Bit of a bugger to get right. Havent actually driven the car since fitting the short shofter but the front/back and left/right movement is noticably shorter.

Note that i couldnt fit my "side to side" part of the shifter without removing (temporarily) the base of the shifter bracket on the gearbox. There just wasnt enough clearance. There are 2x 13mm bolts holding this in. See image below. Once you have undone and removed these bolts, pull up on this cover and it will pop out. Then you can swivel it to allow the side-to-sideshifter linkage to be installed.

Installation and shifter adjustment took about one and a half hours. I had to adjust the linkages several times to get it right.

Will test drive tomorrow. Below is the unit once installed and adjusted.

just installed it... feels solid and grabby (big difference, hoping it will settle in because it feels very crunchy)

only issue was putting back the MAF Clamp... my channel lock didn't make the MAF Clamp small enough to feed it back into position. Any suggestions?

Mine has settled over the past few days and feels as though it's getting smoother. They say there is a run in time of a few hundred miles..(vortex forums and such)

Yeah mine was a touch crunchy, to begin with but after that it was fine. I did make an adjustment about 3 months later on.

I have not yet had the pleasure of a DG shifter, but what I noticed just with the 42DD bushes was I could no longer be "lazy" on the clutch pedal, the firm shifts were a lot more demanding of me being more precise! I wouldn't mind betting this is a possible part of it....
