I put one of these intercoolers in a 125TSI Tiguan and it was a nice upgrade... bit of work involved to fit it but removed the restrictive stock intercooler.
Are you selling with any of the rubber hoses?
I have been doing a garage cleanout and have a few components from the Golf R I parted with a while back.
All Stock and only used for less than 100km.
1 x Stock Intercooler
1 x Stock Air Intake and Filter
Asking $50 the lot - you pick it up.
I'm in Northside, Brisbane - call me on 0439717016 or email neil.macdonald@halojump.net
Thanks

Would it be a worthwhile upgrade for me mk6 gti??bdoes the intercooler come with piping etc. is there much to do to fit to my gti?
Best to measure the width of both cores. I don't think there's a lot of difference between the GTI and R intercoolers.
To change intercoolers involves taking the front end of the car off so it's a bit of work involved. Depends on how good you are at DIY it's definitely do-able with some basic tools. However if you take it to a workshop I'd expect it to take about half a day.

I dunno the answers to any of those questions. You'd have to ask a mechanic.
