I also only got the fronts and not rear too
Just added Wipertech to my allspace - front and back and also on daughters Koleos. Work exactly as stated and easily the best I have used. The service from Wipertech was excellent also as an issue with Aust Post was sorted quickly and painlessly. Can recommend them to any one who needs new wipers, regardeless of car brand. PS - also clay barred and clenaed screen and polished with NU Finish once a year polish as per Youtube videos and the water release is so much better than the ones whio state they are specific.
Anyone else notice the wipertech front blades are about 1 inch longer on the driver side, a little longer on the passenger side, but about 1cm shorter on the back?
Any idea where the extra length will put extra strain on the wiper motors and cause a failure eventually?
I just got my Wipertech blades for my Tiguan and noticed exactly the same thing!
Did you end up installing yours in the end? If so any issues with operation?
My friend said one of his Bosch Tiguan wipers was a bit longer and would hit the windscreen frame when it was on the fastest setting.
I've put my Wipertech wipers back in the box for now and will see what Wipertech say before making a final decision.
Current:
2017 Mk2 Tiguan 162TSI, R-line, White
2020 Mk7.5 Golf R Wagon, White
Never noticed that - sorry. I have Wipertech's on both my cars currently (as well as several previous cars) and never had any issues with them.
As long as the wipers dont contact each other and dont hit protrude past the windscreen glass then I dont see the issue.
I got some Wipertech for my Tig last month (at less than 6 months old) - the factory blades were shuddering and squawking despite my best efforts to clean the screen and blades and graphite treat the rubber, nothing seemed to shut them up for long.
Seem poor quality.
The OEM set on my Golf R were easily better and lasted 3 years with normal use and normal maintainence!
The Wipertech were a little longer at front but no issues striking anything. Didn’t get a back one.
I loved your OEM blades on my GTI and only recently changed them after four years for a wipertech set, which seen good.
I kept the original blades just in case I study like them and could put them back if needed for a bit. I got the back one too.
Length seemed perfect sheet I got a set for the Polo which I realised uses the same size.
Bear in mind that you need to keep your windscreen clean for best performance.
