Talking Wife is freaking out of the major work on a brand new Rline Allspace

    Hey guys
Posting this thread, hoping it helps you as I have had so much support from you as well.

Got a new Tiguan Rline Allspace and have / and still making some changes as I write this post. So far,

Lowered Springs: I decided to go with the eibach (non Allspace model). Why didnt I go with the Allspace version springs? If you want your car to look level all around, then the version in the photo ticked is the one you want. The allspace version will make the rear of the car still sit a little high, to accommodate for the 2 extra seats / weight in the car. If your not carryling a large load, go with the ones I ticked, or else it will look higher at the back. Also, the ride is perfect. I swear, you cannot tell the difference between factory springs and these ones. I did the calibration as per the forums through OBD11 and the car in comfort and normal is perfect. Stick it to Sport and yes, it's more hard on the bumps, but my wife has it on normal.

Rear Cross Traffic and Blind Spot Monitoring: Our car is missing this feature and I spoke to the owner of Burg Design, and he has a product that is even more precise than the factory apparently. I purchased it and I'm gonna be installing that myself, since the car is ripped into pieces. More on that later. LOL. That's why shes freaking out. You can learn more about this product here Blind Spot Detection System Radar (BSD)by Parksafe | Burg Design

Black Out / De-Chrome: So, I took the car to my panel shop and he said to leave it with him. I decided to come and see where we are at, and the Video found here that I uploaded onto Youtube tells you, that this is a difficult process and I am freaking out myself. Dropping roof liner to get to the roof rails. Pulling off the side wheel arches to get the bars off. Taking the bars off. What a journey. Poor car only has 700 kilometres on the dash. You can watch the video here But there is positive out of this. Since I have the roof lining off, I insulated the roof to help reduce road noise, rain and heat as the roof is quite thin. You can see from the crappy white insulation they put from factory. Tiguan badge and VW logo covers can be purchased from AliExpress.

    Focal Speaker upgrade
: Purchased the Focal VW Drop In Speakers for the front and back. What's it like? It's better quality of sound for sure. But you need a Sub in the boot for sure. If you want that low frequency (LFE) you need the Sub. So I am going to look at adding a Sub that doesn't affect boot space. You need ISVW180 for the fronts and ISVW155 for the rears.

Disable Auto Stop Start. Buy the cable from Aliexpress for $20 and be done with it. It's so easy to install. All you need to do, is, remove the trim around the gear shifter, it pulls up. Take off 4 hex screws to lift the rest of it up, and the cable connector is there. Buy the bypass connector and whalla. Car never turns off at lights. Stupid garbage about emissions etc. Please.

Finally, if you're thinking of installing insulation to the doors, it's not really going to make a huge difference, because there isnt a lot of room at all to get your hands behind the door skin to install it. I got as much as I could get in through the hole of the speaker.

Hope this helps you all. Thanks everyone.
