Hey thanks mate. I got it done at HD Smash Repairs in Artarmon. Guy there is Harry who runs it. My name is Dennis. Feel free to name drop. Got it done in few months ago now so can’t remember how much exactly.

He did a great job on the rough plastic stuff though.

Ps I nearly got the diesel but waited 3 months for the petrol... it would have been another 3 months for the R line which I wasn’t willing to do after waiting 7 months for my Golf R when I got that last time..

Thanks! That’s local for me so I’ll go see them for a small repair and get quote for the lot as well.
Similar story for me, 7 month wait for R-Line was too long. My lease is up in 8 months and considering keeping it and starting some customisation.... sounds like I would have to be ordering the R-Line in January otherwise.

Any idea on how they made the rough textured plastic nice and smooth? Did he fill it? Or spray with primer and sand back?

Plastic primer, Sanded, then plastic primer, sanded some more. Came up great.

Yes looks great. I’ve seen it done before and still have the orange peel effect and looks pretty average.

I’m guessing they removed all the trims from the car also?

Ballpark cost?
