Installed a VIOFO a129 front and rear dash cam system. I did a pretty decent job hiding all the cables.

There not visible, except at their camera location- where it’s not possible to hide a short piece.

Running the thick rear cable through all the various trim pieces caused me to knock out one retaining clip on Re-assembly, from the lower c-pillar trim. I couldn’t be bothered fishing it out, so that trim is now held in by the rest of it’s clips. No issues at least

    MOD TO DO LIST
    1) Outer door sill protection - considering the attached from Monteford. Any recommendations??
    2) VCDS tweaks - would like the speed limit sign to show on the HUD - I see it on infotainment screen but not HUD as per VW promotional stuff. Found the setting for the other diaplayed items but no option to activate. Other Wolf owners?
    3) Roof bars - Whisbar??? After something sleek, black and quiet
    4) Considering a set of aluminium MGP brake caliper covers in a black or subtle colour. Yes I know people will say there are issues with heat build up but I am not driving it hard and apparently they assist with diverting brake dust off the rims. The existing caliper castings are quite rough. I just need the part numbers for the calipers so MGP can advise of correct part. I haven't got around to pulling off wheels to locate. Anybody know what this is for Mk2??
Hope the above inspires others or assists to make good choices. I would be similarly appreciative of useful (and positive) comments, and any ideas that maybe useful for my bucket list and help others.
BTW, I also did a front number plate moun

Hillbilly, you just tug it off, by getting your fingertips in the small gap between the top of that trim and the glass. From there lever it off, pretending the other side is the hinge. Does that make sense?

Hi Hillbilly. Cant advise you there. Only put cam in the front. Considering rear cam too but not high on my list, so will follow suggestions with interest.

How did the mudflaps fit I have a pair ready to go on and thought for the price they are pretty flimsy in comparison to the Passat and Polo ones I bought for a lot less.
Does the bumper protector fold over the edge of the bumper or just sit on top of it I intend to use 3m clear film over edge and down the back and maybe get a protector to sit on top of it

They’re not as ‘integrated’ looking as I’d hoped, but they’re pretty discreet, and blend in with the black plastic trim pretty well. Is always a bit nerve wracking drilling 10 holes in a brand new car though, even if it is just in the plastic...

bumper protector is on top, with a small lip that goes down over the edge, it’s actually plastic which surprised me, I though it was metal - looks good though. I also put the edge protector on the boot as well, though that looks a bit naff, so it may end up coming off again. It’s basically one of those clear plastic bubble stickers, again I thought it was metal, so given the price I was a bit disappointed with it.
