This is the email I received after purchasing my wolfsburg confirming 5 yr warranty & 3 yr roadside assist
Previously VW stated (that equated to 3 Years of Free VW Roadside Assistance):
--------------------------------------------------------------
For as long as your warranty, we provide 24-hour roadside assistance, emergency accommodation, rental vehicle and towing as well as household emergency assistance.
...
Roadside Assistance under your Volkswagen Assist membership is provided by Allianz Australia.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Now, it seems VW may start charging for VW Roadside Assist and / or become ineligible if you don't service with VW
Service Initiated Roadside Assistance (SIRA): Roadside Assistance | Car Breakdown Cover | Volkswagen Australia
--------------------------------------------------------------
If you service your Volkswagen at an authorised Volkswagen Dealer, you can receive 12 months Service Initiated Roadside Assistance**.
To be eligible for SIRA your vehicle must be in a roadworthy condition and have the Volkswagen standard scheduled service carried out by a participating authorised Volkswagen Dealer.
... vehicles presented to an authorised Volkswagen Dealer will be eligible for a SIRA Policy up to 42 days after, or 2,500 kilometres above the service schedule milestone. If previous services were missed or completed outside our network, you will also be eligible when you return to an authorised Volkswagen Dealer for a standard scheduled service.
** Authorised Volkswagen Dealers may charge a service fee to activate your SIRA Membership.

I'm still waiting for my email. It's been three weeks.
I’m also still waiting for the email but it’s been around 6 weeks now. I’ll give them a call and stir them up I think.
From what I could see the VW roadside doesn’t cover what you are towing, not handy if you’re regularly towing something.
I haven't received anything?
I bought our Tiguan in July 2018 though, which comes with 3 year warranty and 3 years road assist. I did extend the warranty for another 2 years bringing it to 2 years.

I haven’t received any email confirming warranty. My typed contract states 5yrs, and the dealer says their internal system shows 2023 as the end date.
I rang VW head office today to confirm the 5 year warranty. I bought the car in August and was delivered in November. They confirmed the end date was 2023. While I was on the phone the operator emailed me confirmation in writing. All sorted.
Wolfie ordered October and delivered Jan, 5 year warranty and 3 year road side assist. Also offered to extend the road side assist for a further 2 years for smal fee
