Although these may be only for European sold vehicles from 1 Sep 2018 and onwards, VW Australia has not confirmed whether MY19 Tiguan models will have a PPF. The below does not bode well.

Porsche (part of the VW Group) has announced:
Porsche officially announced that the introduction of the new exhaust emission legislation necessitated a conversion of the model range to include a petrol particulate filter (PPF) and a new type approval submission by 1 September 2018 at the latest.
WLTP was introduced for new vehicle models in September last year and will be applied to every vehicle base from September 2018.

22. What does the change/homologation according to WLTP have to do with the PPF?
Essentially, nothing. The petrol particle filter serves for compliance with the RDE (Real Driving Emissions) limit values.
