What what I have heard, take your lawyer with you for any serious warranty claim even if it has a lifetime warranty.

I’ll have to contact my dealer and ensure it will apply to my order. How much did they initially try to charge you?

Did they mention what proof you will receive confirming it is 5 years?

How’d you go? They initially asked for $500 but I said no. I guess it’s going to be added in the contract.

Thanks, seems like a lot are trying on the $500 price and seeing what response they get. I haven’t contacted them as I’m not collecting to next month. Will try then.

Apparently the dealers have to pay $500 directly to head office for each 5 year warranty. Not surprising then that they’re requesting it as an additional payment if you’ve already agreed on price..

That’s good info, cheers. Makes sense given how many are asking for $500 on current orders.

    VW 5 year warranty

Lol I thought the salesperson was trying to make a quick buck from that $500. Anyway, he added it in my contract saying “5 year warranty at no additional cost”. VW 5 year warranty

The VWA website now lists a 5 year warranty on the Tiguan page without the "for cars ordered and delivered before Deciding 31" caveat.
