    Vibrating Front Wipers

My front wipers vibrate quite alot when in use, especially when on the freeway at 100 km/h.

Looks like the wipers arms are in too much tension against the windscreen.

    Anyone else noticed this?

Will get it looked at next week at my 5 week checkup.

New blades and a good clean of the glass generally sorts it out.

Yeah as Umai Naa says, clean the windscreen. I would try to wash the blades first rather than replacing, they can last years. Use soapy water to get rid of any oily stuff. Use of a decent additive in the washer water helps a lot too.

I'd give the windscreen a clean, clay bar and treat with rain X.
Also clean the blades as suggested.
    Then see how they go

Blades are brand new under 3,000km old.

I had exactly the same issue - took it back to dealer and they replaced them under warranty - no problems since.

Replaced just the blades? Did they have to adjust the tension of the arms?

Clean the windscreen with either a specialised windscreen cleaner / claybar, ajax or cheap toothpaste.

I had the same problem it ended up being the wipers were not sitting square to the windscreen , The Vw dealer had to slightly twist the wiper arms to square it up

Cleaning windshield and wiper blades is the first go then perhaps adjust the blade angle relationship with the windshield ( I did mine gently twisting the arm a small amount) If all fails replacing the blade with Bosch's aerotwin blades is popular in other vw forums.
