    I have noticed that the Tiguan will deactivate ACC if your brake light bulb is faulty. This happens to me often as I have a ****y trailer connector. Annoyingly, once it detects a fault it cannot self clear if it goes out for just a moment. I often have to pull over and turn the car off and on again to clear it.
    It's clever, but a little annoying

    Thanks for that info, spot on one of my trailer brake lights not working which must have caused the ACC error.
    Connected a potable set of trailer lights I have on a pole, have lent the trailer out, and had no problems.
