That's just ACC, TJA also steers the car,
I drove to Melbourne yesterday in the MY18 and used TJA. It does not show as a separate line item when you press in the left stalk to select drivers assists - its part of ACC. The car comes to a complete stop fine and if the traffic then starts to crawl it follows the car in front. I found it works really well around walking pace 3-5 km/h keeping up with car in front.
If the car in front pulls away suddenly then stops, the only thing I would say is perhaps TJA uses a bit too much throttle than I normally would to make up the gap but thats just personal preference.
When the car stops completely, the dash says ACC ready to resume and it moves off again by itself.
When the car stops completely for more than 3-4 seconds (didn't count) then I had to press RES
That's just ACC, TJA also steers the car,
The car steered itself as well.
Not sure it's worth it TBH
You are a lucky guy, it seems you are the only person in the world who got it activated .
I Can test my new Tiguan next Wednesday if it has TJA because it's an MY18 build without buying it for 433 euro's.
If that is the case, the option will probably disappear from the brochures but it isn't updated yet.
