I'm in doubt that a Skoda will not have the 3-second penalty and that an Audi does have it.

The Audi dumps I send to you, that guy has TJA ticked on his invoice as an option he bought, but still has this 3-second penalty...
Ok, thanks. Only just got out of bed so have cleared my emails yet Traffic Jam Assist
Will have a look at what you forwarded through.

Just watched a couple of videos of Audis and Skoda with TJA...all of them show interaction with the cruise control stalk after a 3 second pause.

No worries, the timezone difference gives us a real follow-the-sun 24-hour work schedule on this TJA thing .

I researched the dutch forums and Skoda/Audi/VW are all reporting a 3-second penalty on TJA. There are countless posts reporting this and only 2 or 3 posts that tell people they don't have to push a button to continue but to be honest i've read at least 40 posts telling otherwise and only 2 or 3 telling different.

What they do all report is:

ACC works with Lane Assist and Adaptive Lane Guidance below 60km/h but not on all roads, it needs to be able to identify the road markings etc. If that's the case all lights will be green and the car will be able to stop completely. If everything starts moving within 3-seconds the car automatically accelerates again, depending on distance setting the car will accelerate fast or slowly begin and then suddenly give a boost to keep up.
Pushing gas, pressing resume on the steering wheel or pull the CC lever all works to resume ACC again.

I wonder what standstill mode does in front assist

or the expanded restart option in ACC (mines set to on, don't know what the other options is as it's a bit late here to play) could be off is 0 seconds or unlimited

I found some comments on a youtube video with a Golf that the guy is telling someone that you can set the resume seconds from disabled (no resume) to 1-2 or 3.

I think the only option left to search for is the ALG below 60km/h in the long codings maybe?
We are able to activate ALG with OBDeleven so you get the option in the Driver Assistance Menu to activate it, but it will work only above 60km/h , this seems to be the only thing we are missing compared to the ones who supplied dumps of their cars with TJA ordered.
@NZ_GolfR or am I talking crap?

Has anyone actually tried it? I didn't realise I had TJA as I didn't realise ALG only works with the ACC on under 60k, and my car is speced as not having TJA

I didn't realise ACC had to be active for ALG to work below 60kmh either. Will have to test mine before I start playing around with the coding.

On this forum the guy listing the adaptation change to get ALG has tested it, and doesn't work below 60km/h.

Yes but I didn't realise as ALG turns off as you go below 60, but I thought it was a glitch that if I was on ACC and let the car slow following the car in front down to a speed below 60 the lane markers stayed on the AID (as in picture above) and nobody seemed to know what TJA actually did
