Nice work. The only problem you’ll have with it is getting the keys off your wife!

Haha. Just leafy suburban Adelaide... But yes agree the Wolfsburg looks good in white. Should serve us well for several years. Sorry for the unusual resizing of photos when I posted from phone.

White Wolfy looks incredible! There is a nice subtle metallic effect, looks more premium than the white i have. Congrats on the new beast.

I guess it’s better than nothing but you generally get what you pay for.

A lot of the time required to do these coatings properly is in the preparation and curing (12-24 hours each). There’s no point putting on a coating over blemishes as they’ll stay in the paint forever. Then if you are going to spend $ and hours in paint prep you need to spend the time curing the product after it’s been applied. Otherwise you may as well not bothered.

It ends up being a very labour intensive process and taking 2-3 days to do “properly”. If they take short cuts it’s going to be cheaper but then you end up with a so-so job.

I’m paint protecting my car tomorrow. I’m using what we use at work. We’re a Mercedes Benz approved repairer so we have to use what they tell us and permagard is what they use. It’s not a two pack paint protection that’s baked on with infrared heat lights. But if it’s used by jets for quantas and only porsh and Mercedes approved paint protection and it’s for free from work than I’m a use it. It’s a tedious process. 1 wash car two 2 clay bar it to remove all contamination in the paint. 3 isopropyl the whole car to get all polishes and waxes off the paint. Than finally you can buff the paint protection onto the car. Not with a free spin buff but an oscillating buffer. Beats me why but hey lol that’s my job tomoz.

Yup all VW dealerships promote Permaguard and I’ve seen a car with it applied and it looks great. The colour is deeper and the finish is more glossy. However it’s not as glossy as the Quartz Glass coating that’s I’ve seen.... however if it’s free then why not Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition - Photos

You can't beat free. But all the $ for the paint protection is in the labour it's not actually in the coating.
