This is the question at hand, why did they upgrade then downgrade back to 100kg? What does it mean for those that have 200kg stickers and owners manual adendums? What about those who have 100kg stickers but the manual states 200kg?
Lots of questions which could have been easily addressed if VW communicated correctly.
I’m of the opinion that they downgraded because they upped the warranty to 5 years. But I’m only guessing, if it’s an engineering issue then they should do a safety recall, but it’s been over 3 months since the change and crickets.
I reckon they didn’t get proper approval from head office....and when Germany found out, they cracked the *****s - it’s a global model
Cheers
There’s updated specs on the official website now. 200kg for 3 or less passengers, 100 for 5, 30(yes really) for 7 people.
Have spent about 20 mins and cant find it when a short line in the post would have saved wasting time. Why post half the information

What half of the towball weight info was missing, your majesty? (Hillbilly)
Well according to the PDF from VW AUS I found, it says this TIGUAN 132-162
Up to 2 in front row 200kg
Up to 2 in each row 100kg
Up to 5 (132) 70kg (162) 60kg
So perhaps YOUR link is different and it is as Your figures are for an ALLSPACE
which is here Tiguan Allspace
By half the info I meant if you found the page a nice person would have included the link to be helpful to others.
Apology will be accepted
