I reckon that the best "add-on" for reverse lighting is to switch-on the third brake light. My experience has been that adding another light up-high provides good general illumination when backing. Isn't difficult to do if you have a diagnostic tool - see HEREWire don't you just wire the fog light to also come on with the reverse lights. It's more than bright enough and no bolt on lights to spoil the look of the car.
In fact that sounds like such a good idea I might do that myself.

Pull the headlight switch out two clicks, the first click only turns the front fogs on.

Yep I was turning them on but I didn’t notice till I had a good look today that the rear fog light is actually a single red lightning on the right hand side. I was expecting a white light.
