Saw that on UGP Facebook page...

Dario took the plunge with a UGP Stage 3 is38 upgrade on his Tiguan today. Installed and tuned in just 4hours. A great vehicle, now with great power! It absolutely rips! 33kw & 40nm over stage 2 on the is20
    - UGP Stage 3 tune - 216awkw/ 465nm (26psi taper)
    - UGP Stage 3 DQ380 DSG tune
    - Audi S3 facelift is38 turbocharger
    - Full bolt-ons prev. installed (intake / downpipe / cooler)
Get in tough for your Tiguan power solution today!

Underground Performance - The BIG one for the Tiguan! 👍 #teamUGP

Torque curve looks interesting, fair gain with IS38. Interested to see some performance numbers. With the TCU flash, it’s actually a DQ500 Bosch that’s in the Tigs not the DQ381, however both use the same TEMIC chipset.
VW Tiguan 162 TSI Highline w/ R-Line & DAP. Mods: OEM IS38 turbo, APR IS38 98 RON ECU tune, TVS Stage 2 + with custom TCU tune, APR Downpipe and resonator delete, APR turbo inlet, VWR turbo muffler delete, APR pendulum mount, APR dog bone insert, APR Open Pod Filter (MQB), RAMAIR intake tube, APR Red Ignition Coils, NGK R7437-9 Spark Plugs, DBA T3 slotted rotors front and T2 slotted rotors rear, ATE ceramic pads front and rear Vbox: 0-100 4.1s

Agreed nice to see some real world numbers not just brochure “claimed” figures.

Stock figures for the 162TSI is 135-140kwaw which I’ve verified (mine ran 141 on another dyno).

There’s some decent gains from going IS38. Not sure I’d call this stage 3 - more like stage 2.5 perhaps.

Interested on what turbo/mods you are looking at to achieve those numbers?

That’s where I’m hoping to be, however I’m looking for a nice daily driver not just a peak number on the dyno.

Few options i am looking at.

Same not after a dyno queen, 250 is a nice round number to aim for.. My other cars have had similar numbers at one stage of their mods, felt like it was just right for the street...

Melbourne_Tiggy it would actually be good to see it run on the UGP dyno for direct comparison.

If they have a dyno day we can all go down for a bit of a chat and a dyno run. Would be good to get the community together.

To be honest, I’m not hugely interested in the dyno numbers, there are a few Russian APR IS38 Tigs that have been put on a dynojet and are making good power. If there is a dyno day in Melb I’ll rock down for a dyno and a chat, I prefer vbox/dragy timing for 0-100 and 1/4 mile. That’s for me the real world experience and comparison.

I am more interested to see the curve of the power and torque graphs than peak dyno numbers as area under the graph is what matters, not the peak number.

Any videos of yours 0-100, 60-130?

I had a few jpegs from my phone to upload, but it caused some errors on the upload.

When I’ve got some time, I might make a vid or two and put it on YouTube.

You worked out which turbo and setup will get you to 250kw @wheels?
