So!!! I bit the bullet and did this, and boom, couldn’t stop smiling all the way home!!
Except, I opted in for an S3 cat back instead of the MK7 R, only because I found one with super low k’s from a new car, which had the motors still attached and in pristine condition all over (including the tips in perfect condition)… and also did a resonator delete at the same time.
In case anyone is wondering it was done by Rob Bliss exhausts who were super helpful and seemed to know what they were talking about!
It’s been raining in Brizi, so haven’t had a look to see underneath the quality of their work just yet, but they got the rear alignment of the tips spot on
Loving the look and the sound so far!!

Yeah fitting is the same but instead of oval tips you'll have round ones.

Hi all, enjoyed readig this thread, would anyone know of a muffler installer in Sydneys western suburbs that has done the Golf R /Tiguan exhaust conversion, its hard to find anyone that will attempt it or not RIP you off. look forward to some response.

If anyone around Sydney want to get rid and sell his 162kw original Tiuan Exhaust including catalytic converter and middle resonator ( or complete) . Please let me know interested to purchase is price ok .Must be from as new car or very low kms.

finally had my Golf R muffler fitted at Hi Tech exhaust Darlinghurst, also had my original resonator fitted as I didn't want it to be to loud. Kept the back false tips as I wanted to keep it looking standard.
