    Tiguan free 3 years service.

Hi, we just put a deposit for our Tiguan Allspace MY19.5 yesterday, scheduled to pick up on Tuesday. Dealer promised we will have three years free service. However, both 5 years warranty and 3 years serving are not mentioned in the invoice/receipt. Now I don't have any evidence that they will provide me 3 years warranty. Should I get dealer put this into writing? Or this is part of VW's deal? Every purchase after 1/1/19 is automatically eligible for those deal?
    Cheers

Give the dealer a call an email tomorrow, asking them to confirm. Do you have cooling off laws in your state? If yes, make sure you ask them to reply and confirm by the end of the day 29/4/19.
Give them a follow up phone call mid-afternoon, too. Ask them to put in writing their answer- not just verbal. As verbal means zero.

Also take screenshots of the website(s) that show the info about warranty and servicing.

I believe you’ll be fine, but always wise to be proactive and cover your butt.

    Cheers.

Thanks so much for your advice. I'm in VIC, do we have cooling off law in my state? If three years service is a standard promotion from VW, I believe it's fine. I know 5yrs warranty is an VW thing, not so sure about 3 times servicing.

    From consumer affairs:
You have three business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after you sign a contract to change your mind. This is your cooling-off period. However, if you choose to accept delivery of the vehicle during this three-day period, you will automatically lose your right to cool off.

We signed contract on 26 Apr, scheduled for pick up on 30 Apr. This is less than 3 business days. Therefore, we lost cooling off period. I'm a bit worried now. Hope the dealer is not that tricky. I know naturely they are tricky though.

Even if you were to change your mind within that period, the cost to cancel the contract would probably have ended up being roughly the cost of your first 3 services anyway.

You’re still inside the cooling off period. I mentioned this clause, as it will make sure the dealer actually answers your question- in writing.

Sunday isn’t a business day(is Saturday?) so monday will be either day 1, or day 2

Thanks, like previous guy said the cost of exit from the contract will be similar or greater than 3 services. Hope some recent buyers could clarify this: Warranty, service and roadside assistance are VW offers, not dealer offers.

Mine is 162 highline, however sales consultant said I will receive 3 yr service. For those people who got 3 year service plan, not sure if their invoice mentioned this.

I bought a standard one two weeks ago and was told only the Standard & Allspace132's got it as per the link I posted

!62's are too popular for them to need to give anything away I paid a bit over 57 with Rline and DAP got nothing for free
