Ours is due at the dealership 24th August so not long now. Guessing it's probably here in Melbourne or very close to it. Shame you can't track the via VIN number anymore

Went and checked out the Allspace in the showroom when my Passat was in for its first service. Looks good on paper but what a wasted opportunity! The boo space is so significantly compromised by the ridiculous rear seats that there's not much extra space at all. You can't order it without the boot seats and you can't remove them. FAIL!

The wait for the new Toureg continues. As does the wait for an Amarok with rear airbags. The September face-lift isn't getting them either. Another FAIL!

VW are starting to lose the plot a little bit with the bigger cars. Which I guess isn't surprising since the bulk of their sales is Golf sized or smaller.

It's interesting how people seeing things differently.

I see it completely opposite as the car in my eyes is a 5+2 seater, we won't be carting around more than 5 that often so the rear seats will be down, making the boot HUGE. Having tried out the rear seats there for kids only or a jockey sized adult, so for our purposes it's absolutely perfect.

I am 100% ++ in the same boat
We have 2 kids under 5 and hardly a need for the 7 seats. But from time to time have family that we like to take on road trips and having the option of moving the 5 year old to the back allowing 2 comfy seats next to the baby seat is perfect for my situation.

The Tiguan is amazing but the boot was slightly worrying whereas the allspace boot is just amazing for my needs.

I am in the same situation with my family of wife and 3 yo and 3mth old. The Tiguan Allspace has the best 2nd row, plenty of room for the baby capsule and child seat, and plenty of room for the pram. The only time I expect to use 3rd row is if we need to bring the kids grandparents or friends occasionally. The allspace is a winner for young families. Sure I could get a caddy maxi or Honda Odyssey, but neither of those will let me drive like a hot hatch in the way home after I drop off the kids at kiddy!
