Think it's truly weird that we have all these ads, granted they are overseas but here in Oz we don't even have an R Line on the roads yet. Yet they promo this model as the flagship in all regards.
GOLF GTI MY11 ADIDAS Candy White, Sunroof
GOLF GTI 40th ED, White with Sunroof
I like all 3. There is another add showing the safety feature of automatic braking. They did not use a Tiguan. It is very good watching.

And this one from Japan, very informative! (Seen too many Chinese Tiguan vids that I accidentally took it for Chinese, thanks Gladbach)

VW Tiguan R-line 162kw, Tungsten Silver Metallic, Titanium Black-Crystal Gray.
ACC, DCC, AID, HUD, DAP, ALS, LED, DSG, TSI, LOL
hehe, it's Japanese, but yeah.
A few interesting things:
-Obviously they get the HID, we don't but it's apparently not that great anyway.
-When they explain the ACC and Lane Assist, it then mentions Traffic Assist, which is interesting. The Passat has traffic jam assist which is specifically designed for traffic situations. As far as I'm aware, the AUS/NZ version only has ACC and lane assist, which while it is still useful in traffic, is not as smooth as the traffic jam assist feature. I wish we had that.
-When they demo the park assist, I noticed that the car finished in a position where the wheels were still turned out. That would really annoy me, but hey, I'd never use the function anyway.
-I thought it was strange that they showed someone struggling to open the boot of another car in the car park so they could show how awesome the Tiguan is with the auto open boot feature - but it was another VW that the other person was struggling with. I'm surprised that they dissed a VW
-The LED headlights demo was interesting. I know we get dynamic cornering lights, but what they showed was the beam adjusting to other cars around it. That looks more like Matrix LEDs, which we don't get.
-This series of ads reminded me of how much I love Japanese ads/TV in general. Just something about the language and culture that's awesome. I think I'm due for a trip to Japan - only been there once, and my wife hasn't been, so it's on the list!
