I've edited the dyno plot to add on RPM figures. I've calculated the rpm's based on 3rd gear and stuck these onto the curve. Basically in 3rd gear you're doing 60km/hr at 3,000rpm so you can work everything else out from there:

You can see by the torque curve it's actually pretty flat (no massive peaks) but you do definitely feel it come onto boost. It's at max torque from around 3,500rpm to 5,000rpm and pulls well from 2,000rpm.

That's also why the torque figures are higher as the run has been done in third (although I did request 4th gear).

I did go back out to do a Gtech run but didn't get any better than 4.4sec. I think there's a few factors at play here including grip (side of roads is often a bit dirty/gravel) and the fact that there's a "soft" launch with boost being limited in 1st gear. I think this is done mostly to protect the drivetrain.
4.4s is not bad, limiting boost in 1st will cost some time, but preserve your transfer box. At 4500 rpm launch there was a lot metallic sounds (potentially unhealthy), that’s why I kept max launch at 4000rpm.

In terms of turbo behaviour between an IS38 and hybrid IS38, max torque comes in around 500rpm earlier for the IS38 which may play into the times also, I think with some tweaking, better tyres, BP ultimate the hybrid should improve. On a roll you should have plenty of boogie in 2/3 & 4th gear.

It's the fact that the boost is limited to 15psi in first gear and only really gets going in second. But I can live with that in terms of longevity, though I really would have liked to see what it was capable of with a "decent" launch. When it was stock it launched harder than what it does now

It would be interesting to compare an IS38 Tig to hybrid IS38 Tig. I'm still leaning towards bang for buck and ease of tuning with IS38 being the way to go as it gives a lot more flexibility in terms of going with off-the shelf tuning options rather than custom/dyno tuning options for hybrid turbos.

It would be in the low-mid 12's most likely is my guess. It may do 11's but to get there it would need a more aggressive launch.
