Usually a "good" launch will gain around a second (may be less at the pointy end of 4 sec 0-100's).
This file is more potent than your original file, possibly a little more in it with some custom dyno time and BP ultimate tuning.

Is there a bit of a torque kick at 4K rpm?

How did you go with the gtech measurements for 0-100?

This is the quickest file for sure and also has most boost. There's possibly a little in it with BP Ultimate, however I run on Vortex98 (not my choice as work fuel card) so it doesn't make sense to tune it on BP fuel.

I've edited the dyno plot to add on RPM figures. I've calculated the rpm's based on 3rd gear and stuck these onto the curve. Basically in 3rd gear you're doing 60km/hr at 3,000rpm so you can work everything else out from there:

You can see by the torque curve it's actually pretty flat (no massive peaks) but you do definitely feel it come onto boost. It's at max torque from around 3,500rpm to 5,000rpm and pulls well from 2,000rpm.

That's also why the torque figures are higher as the run has been done in third (although I did request 4th gear).

I did go back out to do a Gtech run but didn't get any better than 4.4sec. I think there's a few factors at play here including grip (side of roads is often a bit dirty/gravel) and the fact that there's a "soft" launch with boost being limited in 1st gear. I think this is done mostly to protect the drivetrain.

Am I reading the graph right?
    Over 900nm of torque?

Do you have any concerns over the drivetrain lasting - is the DSG, Haldex and other bits and pieces going to last the few years you’ll have the car, even if just driving like miss daisy?

It's actual measured torque at the roller on the dyno. If you want to get to engine torque then you have to take into consideration the gear ratio (3rd gear), diff ratio, roller diameter and wheel/tyre size.

There's a good explanation here: Dyno Torque Figures – “The Truth”

So given my run was in third gear and I'm running a decent size wheel/tyre the measured torque figures are quite high. It would have been better to run in 4th gear and then the gear ratio would have been 1:1 so that would have taken gearing out of the equation at least.

When would you say you get full boost by?

I did a log of boost vs. RPM earlier:

It pretty much aligns with the torque curve which is what you actually feel.

Yes I'm happy with how it drives. Car drives just like stock under normal driving conditions but get it over 3,000rpm and you certainly start moving!

Bring it down to Melbourne for a test drive...

I get my car back hopefully next week, sick of driving around the bloody base model corolla hire car!

I feel your pain. I’ll have to see how things pan out but if I end up driving over to Melbourne I’ll definitely arrange to catch up.
