Really impressive, just can't get over howmuch torque your running now!! How does it drive, when the turbo kick in?
    What's next on the agenda?

Yes that was similar comments to the dyno guys. It'll be down to the size wheel as the Tig runs a bigger diameter tyre than most of the Golfs. Also how big and fat the torque curve is. I'll have to do some calibrations on rpm vs. road speed to work out where we are at in terms of RPM.

In terms of what's next is a decent set of tyres, Golf R exhaust and maybe a rear brake upgrade and paint the rear calipers to match the front. Other than that in terms of performance mods I'm done - really cosmetic stuff from here on.

Yes the stage 1 Tig ran 153.6kwaw. Though I don't know what the stock figure is on this dyno was. Seems everyone was reading 10-20kwaw lower than expected.

Your car must feel like a rocket now with all that torque! How do you like the DSG tune? I found mine to be really responsive with no hesitation in D and in S well seems to be tuned perfectly in tune with the turbo.

Btw what was your intake temp? Will you fine tune it again or your happy with the results and responsiveness?

The DSG tune is reasonable in terms of remapping the shift points, however it still requires a few tweaks to get a good launch. I've tried a couple of launches earlier today and it's only 0.1s faster using a launch compared to mashing the throttle in M mode and shifting manually. Usually a "good" launch will gain around a second (may be less at the pointy end of 4 sec 0-100's).

We logged the intake temps the other night and as soon as you get air flow over the intercooler the intake temps drop right down. I don't think I'll have any issues with intake temps running the Wagner intercooler. The only concern I have is the larger volume core taking longer to build boost. However this is more of a problem with a smaller turbo (IS20) than with the hybrid IS38 as the IS20 just doesn't move the same volume of air.

I honestly think with a few adjustments to the DSG, O2 sensor delete and possible added crackle(??) to the tune this will pretty much be "done" and I won't touch the tuning. It'll be more cosmetic mods from that point forwards.

So TTE and Snail making roughly the same max power outputs...

Interested to see where they make power on the curve / rpm....

We're both running the exact same tune file... basically a copy/paste of each other.

Surprised running exactly the same file as the turbos are no 100% the same. Thought yours would be further tweeked to suit

If I ws in Melbourne that would possibly have been the case. I still may go for a road trip some time in the future, but for now I am happy how it's running. Fuel trims are good. Both cars got tuned on Caltex 98 which is the fuel that I use and the turbos are rated within 5hp of each other so reality there is not going to be massive amount of difference.
