    Ha ha.
    Live a good fart joke

Also, that first pic had me going for a while to pick the position. The 2nd set of wheels in front of your car had me thinking that they were on yours

Stock exhaust has pretty much no noise. If you're going to have a performance SUV you need to have some DSG farts and a bit of an exhaust note.

I haven't had any issues with drone. The only "problem" if you can call it that is that the exhaust tone is quite tinny with a metallic ringing on cold start. This goes away in the first minute or 2 of driving.

It's mildly louder than stock but not a massive difference. The rear muffler is quite effective in cutting down the volume. I do get mild DSG farts under load but the noise is muffled and is not a sharp note. A smaller Golf R muffler would certainly help (I'm on the lookout for a system to purchase locally).

I had heard someone else who modified their rear section with tips down having drone. Instead of running the tips through the bumper they kept the "fake" exits and just pointed the outlets down (same as stock). Check through the exhaust thread.

I haven't heard anyone having drone issues with the stock exhaust. Maybe check you haven't got an exhaust leak. Also some of the joints will take a bit of soot to seal and the exhaust will tone down a bit too once it fully soots up. I'd just wait for 1,000km before jumping in and making more changes.

I was wondering if it had a leak somewhere towards the back as it sounds like it constantly blowing. On cold start rear muffler sound is loud, so loud that I quickly leave the garage so I don't disturb the neighbours. Warm idle isn't too bad but driving is the real issue, anything upto when boost kicks in. I've already done 400km since Friday and seems its getting louder each day.
Think I would need to sort this soon though. Is the aftermarket catback systems louder generally or best stick when stock Golf R muffler if I can find one?

Check underneath and see how the clamp from the DP to the catback looks. If you can see black trails coming from that area then likely you have an exhaust leak.

Aftermarket Mk7 systems are usually noisier than the stock Mk7 exhaust (otherwise people wouldn't bother changing). I wouldn't go with an aftermarket one unless it was cheap and you were looking for maximum noise

I had to get my downpipe removed and reinstalled as it was leaking at many joints.. If its not installed correct on the V band at he back of the turbo then the rest of the alignment will be out the whole way. Get Gordie to recheck it...

    Tigger73's 162TSI Sportline

Had the brakes bled and a new file put in tonight. Brake pedal is firmer at the top - less pedal travel until they take up and still nice and progressive.

Definitely need some new tyres to do the car justice now.

Dyno day on Saturday so should be interesting.

Yes some decent performance oriented tyres and I'll call it "done". There's still a few cosmetic tweaks that I'd like to make but as far as the major performance mods / how it drives it's pretty much complete once I get new tyres fitted. Hopefully the accountant has some good news for me in the next week or 2....
