    Tigger73's 162TSI Sportline

Dyno results for the low boost file above (blue line). This is around 21psi and is 205-210kwaw on a “normal” dyno. This particular dyno reads about 20kwaw low.

You can see that the turbo comes on boost and is able to hold it all the way through to redline.

The red curve above shows the second file that was put in and the ECU protection cutting in just as it was ramping up. Unfortunately we ran into closing time for the dyno centre/workshop (Friday night) so ended up with a revised file and road logging only.

New file is quicker than the low boost file but these a few more revisions required before we’ll call it “done”.

Yes files are written in Greece and then sent to Melbourne where the adjustments are made for local fuel. They are then coded and sent on to Adelaide where they're written into the vehicle. There's probably 1 step in the process more than "ideal", however as long as everyone is online at the same time it works reasonably well. For the small amount of delay in getting files turned around it's really not worth driving the car to Melbourne.

The mainline dyno is a heart breaker dyno...
Not a bad result, but was expecting significantly more from the 475HP TTE and HPFP. Did the tuner say there was more in it ?

As a comparison you should do another gtech run when it’s dry....

There's probably another 8psi in it if I wanted it which would be ~80kwaw give or take. I'm going to go slightly more conservative than that but we'll see what happens with timing retard as more boost is added.

I'll do another run when there's a window of opportunity with some dry road.

Given the extra go the car has now I decided that I'd better match it with some extra stopping power so I'm getting a set of the Alcon 6 pots with DBA T3 rotors fitted up tomorrow.... a bit of EOFY special treatment for the Tig

    Other than looks??

Still bedding in. Need to do a few 100-0 stops and maybe bleed them again. They do pull up better and I get more nose dive under heavier braking so they're pulling up harder.

I took the car for a bit of a shake-down run on the weekend through the hills and even without the last couple of psi boost it's still got plenty of go. Brakes held up well but clearly the next item on the list is to upgrade the tyres as I'm still running the stock 235/35R20 Pirelli Scorpion Verde's. They are a decent higher mileage SUV tyre but a fair way from a performance tyre so not sure if/when they'll come off as there's still a decent amount of tread left and currently at 23,000km.

New brakes are good. They are nice and progressive and if you really stand on them they pull up very well. I'm still due to take the car back and get them re-bled to remove any last bit of air from the system so I'll reserve my final judgement until then. Currently pedal travel is probably more than what I'd really like but that may be the last bit of air in the system.

That break package should be like light and day from the stock units... once bedded in and fully bleed...
