What DP are you running. Generally speaking most aftermarket DP have been the source of rattles as or needs to be modified to fit. After my hangers were adjusted again the rattle went away.

RD Technik Mk7 R DP fits better on the Tig than on the Golf! Actually needed to shorten the catback section f the stock exhaust by 30mm to get proper fitment - probably because of the reducer. Also spoke to the workshop and they said most likely a small exhaust leak but will get it back there in the week after Easter/Anzac for round 2.

I know a couple of others have also experienced small rattles after install so I'm not too worried.

Most downpipes will have some sort of adjustment required, either at the turbo clamp, exhaust hangers, cat/midpipe clamp or reducer. The APR downpipe fits well without the need for shortening the OEM exhaust/cat back. I did have a rattle near the cat/midpipe clamp that needed tightening, but I think your cat is situated in the OEM position....as you say likely to be some part of the heat shield that needs to be bent away from the pipe.

Maybe cut off the slip joiner and get a set of self-locating v-bands, 1x step down reducer & an exhaust bellow.

I know it's not "Euro" spec, but those slip joiners on Euro cars are a nightmare and I hate them. I've been under the Tiguan a few times and itching to mod it, but the wife said to finish off the R33 before I touch her car haha

    Hi Tigger72
I you looking some serious very light high performance tyre on wet and dry .Will make your tig to start as rabbit , than I can recommended you try new Conti premium contact 6 .They are lighter at least 1kg per tyre than any other brand tyre in this cat, and have almost all better performance in all aspect than Conti sport5 https://blobs.continental-tires.com/...act-6-data.pdf .some vide review Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 VS Continental PremiumContact 6 Test - Tyre Reviews

Price here in AU can be find also really cheap for this performances offered.

Thanks Cameleon. I will be looking at tyres soon(ish). I do a fair few km in my cars so good wear is also a consideration. Ideally I'd like to get 35-40,000km out of a set. I know that's not always possible, however I'd be prepared to sacrifice a little in terms of performance if I can get another 10,000km out of a set the tyres. Ideal world I'd have a long life performance tyre which is good in wet and dry but that combination is often hard to achieve.

I know previous usig Conti , from ContiSport5 was wearing very fast almost finish at 20k! but this one at least on 4wd tig I had 25k and still at least left 15k for front and maybe 20k for rear left to use .But I don't put this car hard and I am not racig, but I never notice wheel spin with this tyre regardless how wet is or fast cornering or road condition. However this is not tyres for everyone if you don't like soft fill tyre. It is so light and so soft easy to move around with one finger on steering . When first time you come to this tyre you will be thinking like is balloon not tyre And need some get used , as is very very light and sensitive tyre on steering input. Again because is just incredible light ( 21kg only on 18 inch sportline Audi wheel in 235/55R18 for compare on some wheel Bridgestone H/P sport tyre with even lower profile /235/50/R18 was 24.3kg so saved almost 3.5kg per wheel!
In beginning I didn't like at all this tyre was bit scare at high speed , till I didt find correct pressure for this tyre , but after get some used on lightness and adapted on precise sensitive control steering input is just amazing ultra light grip tyre ,very comfortable and noise is also minimal.
